Dental care

Sealing cracks

Some molars (and premolars) have a deep anatomy of the tooth furrows (deepest areas of the tooth surface) thus preventing access to the bristles of a toothbrush. In the long term, an accumulation of dental plaque forms in these furrows, then inducing caries lesions.

The sealing of cracks is a preventive act often interesting for young patients and which consists in injecting a biocompatible resin and of natural appearance aimed at reducing the depth of the furrows in order to allow access to the bristles of a toothbrush, and therefore prevent cavities in these areas.

For young patients with initial caries on erupting molars, the same process is applied but using a biocompatible paste having the specificity of continuously releasing fluoride, thus stopping demineralization and therefore caries. This treatment does not require any anesthesia and is carried out in a very conservative manner.
